carpet glued to cab mat

I have carpet glued down onto the rubber matting,it was looking a bit manky so I pulled it off and it has left the rubber backing onto the mat,I have tried a heat gun water etc to remove it,it comes off a bit like skin when you are sunburnt,any ideas?,can you get anything that dissolves evostick?.my fingerprints are wearing away rubbing the damm stuff off,thanks for any ideas.

Try one of your local carpet fitters they have stuff that will help take away the glue.Sorry but i don't know what it is called.

thanks for the replies,may try pressure washer at work but not using at too close to the matting

Dont worry , works P washer wont harm it full chat close up, if you have a hughes jet machine 15.000 Bar>> then maybe

took the mat from between the seats and around the handbrake,the pressure washer took it off a treat in about 10 minutes,will take the rest in to do tomorrow,would recommend it to anyone if they need to get rid of their carpet from the rubber mat

no,took it right off,the only parts I will have trouble with is around the edges as someone has used superglue as the edges must have been lifting,the glue used for the carpet lifted clean off and left a virtually new looking mat
