Afternoon all,
Just wondering if there is a way of making the sliding door easier to operate, and glide easier? Mine seem to make rather a grinding noise and is pretty difficult to operate?

you need to make sure all the bearings are smooth and unworn(grove on runner bearing not worn deep)
all runner surfaces must be smooth - not pitted, rusted or flaky paint ect

Mine's easy 'nuff to open and close, if not silent, but that Mr Hulley said "Oooh, roller?" and played back-and-forth with it, then failed to expand upon the comment...

Mine was a bit lumpy. Simply scrubbed p the runner and removed flaking rust and dirt etc and it's loads better now.

open and support door, then remove bottom roller assembly thoroughly clean and lube, also wire brush all the carp out of the rolling area, refit same,
remove middle assembly and do same .
also see wiki^^^^^^
refit and should glide nice now.

I found an old T towel soaked in paraffin was good for getting all the crudded up grease from the tracks
Then re-greased and it was MUCH better.

Ours was mega noisey!!! when we stripped the paint back ready for the rustoleum and took off the side bit we found it had almost rusted right through!! thats what was making the noise!!
