Coolant flow question

Right I've now replaced the rusted coolant pipes with stainless and rubber tubing, they are in place but as I've left it so long I've kinda forgot the original positions etc. I'm assuming the flow to the rad is the on the water pump stat housing(stop me if I'm wrong?) but which inlet does that pipe goto on the rad? There are to pipe positions on the RAd one higher than the other.

Simply put where does the pipe from the water pump go into the rad ?

Lol thx

Early or late system
ie. Where is your thermostat housing?
Near the tailgate or near the bulkhead?

None of the pipes from the pump go to the rad, the pump pushes cooled water through the engine to the coolant distributor then on to the rad.

Hi Hixxy
cant recall if its your precise engine, but I read a brilliant thread recently which pointed me to a Club 80 90 'downloads' page, and there was a very comprehensive explaination and diagrams of cooling systems on there... I'll try and post a link, unless someone else beats me to it.
Hope you are well buddy - see you when the rain stops sometime!

Its all done by little German gnomes with paddles Itellthee. I have studied the diagrams and I still cant really work out whats going on. Gnomes are far better explanation. If you dont get the gnomes back in the system it will never work properly even if you get the pipes back on the right way.
