Have been working on the camper today.............changing the reversing light contact block. engine was ticking over fine and now it wont even start dont believe that the contact block has anything to do with it, but the temp light flashes permanantly and so does the oil light, im reasonably good with electrics but the engine side i need help can anyone advise what to do next. engine oil levels seem to be fine.

Does it turn over?
The gearselector lever also has an inhibitor switch to stop you starting the van while in drive.
The oil light will flash untill you get oil pressure, some engines will get enought spin from the starter to get pressure up, others wont.

Is your coolant tank (inside the engine bay) full? the temp light isnt really a temp indicator, more a coolant level indicator.

perhaps you have disturbed the eart connector blocks behind the dashboard.

Hi there - I'm new to the board having come across this topic whilst googling :) I've made a 'repair' to my inhibitor switch/contact block but ideally I'd like to renew it - could you tell me where you bought your new block from? I couldn't see a part number when I removed mine

Thanks
