okay.
We now have, to be sold on an exchange basis T3 syncro prop shafts.
They feature.

New UJ's with modified yolks so that they will accept a grease nipple.
Brand new rubber coupling.
Bronze bush replaced.
Checked for straightness.
Balanced.
Painted.

We need your old prop back to be able to offer this service.
Props ready, on the shelf for next day delivery.
Props rebuilt by GKN using GKN parts (except for the rubber coupling)
We have a weekly service with GKN, they come here once a week when we can swap old/new parts over, we have a few props in rotation so we should be able to keep up with demand.
Basically, this is returning your prop back to have VW designed it and how it is intended to work.

Does the £177 one come without a sliding joint?

Just wondering as I'm not personally keen on them.

I can have them made without a slider, no probs.
£195 + VAT.

The original, rebuits VW one has the rubber coupling.
The gearbox is fixed, the diff is fixed so you don't need masses of sliding action, I think that the rubber coupling serves 2 purposes, one as a bit of a damper and the second to allow slight variations in length.

Personally I would prefer to stick to the VW style one, but thats me.

I like the idea of a standard type but with a damped tube
Best of all worlds, wonder why they weren't made like this originally?

Sorry, just reading that back it's not entirley clear.

The £177 prop is a old unit that has been refurbished by GKN to include new joints, rubber coupling and bush replaced, straightened, balanced and painted, supplied with 8x new nuts and bolts.
Hence why these ones are exchange.

The £195 props and the £250 prop are brand new units designed and manufactured by GKN using new parts, no exchange, price is outright.
