Not really hard to add a second battery, no.

Have a look in the wiki or do a search for "split charge". Second battery with charge circuit taken off the alternator feed when engine running - split charge relay isolates the batteries so you only drain the leisure one when parked up (as long as all of your interior stuff is running off that one !!)

Hope that makes sense

Two battery wires Positive and Negative straight off the existing battery wired to a isolator switch then onto the leisure battery, this is a basic set up. The alternator will charge both when on the move, then just switch the isolator off when stationary so that the fridge is only drawing from the leisure battery

Unless you have a compressor fridge (fairly unusual) the fridge should only run on 12V when the engine is running.
Most 12V fridges will flatten a battery in a few hours.

My fridge flattened both main and leisure battery in 7 hours when I accidently left it switched on with battery isolator connecting both together (before put in a relay), so definitley as above said!
