I have seen a 3 way 12v adapter on the web which can be cut into the dashboard and has a VW Transporter type logo on it. I cannot remember where I saw it and would like to get one. Does anyone know what I am talking about and can point me in the right direction?

you are very sure you want to cut into your dash for summats that can just be stuck on the top

i take it you mean the one that has 3 sockets and a usb ?...i got one,works well but i wouldnt cut a hole in the dash for it ..each to their own i guess
