Wheel Rims and disc brake upgrade

We have a syncro currently fitted with ARG Aluvar 7J 15H2 ET21 rims with 215-75-15 KHUMO tyres.
Does any one know if these are the best sized / dimension tyres for the rim as they do stick out a bit from the wheel arches but I dont want to overload the bearings and I intend to get a new set of Michelin AT tyres for long haul driving soon. Also they throw up water and mud slightly up the side of the bodywork but no real problem

Also the front tyres are showing signs of scrubbing on the outside so is this down entirely to wrong tracking or could it be tyre size incorrect?

Would anyone have the correct tracking adjustment details for this rim as the |Haynes quote is for 14 inch rims and Im not sure whether this is ok for 15 inch rims Toe in 20 +- 30 degrees or 2.0+- 3.5mm

Also can the disk breaks at front be uprated to larger ones and is a kit available and can discs be fitted to rear as well

thanks
Kevin

Heh, it's the same colour as mine, honest ;)

What are 692 and 954 then?

Audi 100 Quattro front brakes will fit, with a little machining. Bigger rotors and vented, too. Should fit under 15" rims.

Any rear disc conversion from a 2WD could be fitted as the rear brakes are the same.

Sounds like you've either been cornering far too hard, or your camber needs re-setting. The camber is set in relation to the ride height, so 15" rims shouldna make a difference to the standard settings.

If your tyres are worn on BOTH outer edges it could suggest something as simple as under inflation.

I have to say, that looks raised to me, possibly on Seikels or similar.

Might explain the need to have the geometry reset...?

Bl00dy nice van too!

Good, thanks Jake, I thought much the same, but you'd see that straight away - almost reminded me of yours (sadly as was) in its stance...

Yeah, being a Westy the household furniture normally it sits a little lower at the back.

Mine has the Seikels on now, looks much similar...I'm fairly certain they have "Seikel" somewhere on them. Can't remember though!

thanks
