Can't think of an easier way to do it
see what you mean about the diff switch hole, will be on the case tomorrow.

You can see where it is now cant you. If you look when you pull the actuator off there is that small mark on the outer sleeve where we had the screw driver through the drift pin hole. My guess is just line the mark on the sleeve with the drift pin hole. It will take minutes to do.

are you stealing my glory with the rounded cv joint blot, with the star drive and the good lady?
well done to both of you, always looks easer watching some one else, you may want to cheak out the alinement of the gear box prop and diff, i lots of info about it on the samba.

Good vid personally found its better to pop the back off and take out the pin and sleeve altogether by taking off the back cover while you have the diff out and you can disassemble the whole unit and check the seals etc but each to their own (see tinkerbelle thread) . I hope you used flange sealant on the mating faces otherwise you may have a slight leak as they don't have gaskets

Cracking vid that, I just dropped out the front diff and replaced it ( on my own.....not easy!) but was dead worried I would lose the wee pin for the diff lock. I didn't BUT I forgot to measure it in case I did...for future reference (so I can get a spare) any one know what is the diameter?
