hiya all , thanks to andrew and ian van is driving a treat, with only slight hesitation at lower revs, however i am running a electric fuel pump on a 82 Aircooled cu unit with twin pdsit carbs i have purchased a just kampers fuel regulator , the round silver one with 1 to 5 marked on it, but it says on the empi pack , not for road use only use in racing engines, has anyone else used one of these, is it safe to use it on the road, if so i hear that they can leak would i be ok fitting it next to the electric fuel pump under the car, also do the marks on the regulator correspond with psi , eg 1 is 1 psi, am i wright in thinking that it needs to be set to around 3psi cheers gary

In the 80s i fitted a silver fuel regulator valve to a 1.3 cross flow engine escort.For some reason after a run in hot weather the engine wouldnt start i was told this was due to fuel evaparation .I carnt give an explanation but once the valve was fitted it solved the problem.From memory there was various positions on a silver dial you could set the fuel flow the settings where trial &error found where it kept the engine running.Regarding do they leak its a bit hazy the old memory but i seemed to recall a leakage problem.
