How do I test the resistance of a wire?

Sadly I have the lost the instuctions to my multi meter.
I have fitted my 2wd westy battery charger (BBB) producing 14 Volts at the leisure battery, to my syncro Westy and am only getting 6.7 volts at the same destination.
I am getting the same drop in voltage both before and after the fuse box behind the drivers seat, so it's not that.
Obviously there is a problem with the live or the earth, but how in laymans terms do I tell which is at fault?
This is the meter I have.

Also does anyone know what connector to check for the voltage entering the silver box(stuergarat), B2L.
I would imagine it's the same as the D2L as the connections are identical.
Posted on 80-90 as well as Brickyard westfalia forum, will be checking both for info.
Many thanks Rob(lhd/lhdwesty).

If it's any consolation LHD, I am a Blue's supporter and you were damned unlucky not to have won that game. I still think West Ham is a better team to face the Gooner's. It's been a pretty miserable season for both sets of supporters and I wasn't too fussed if we had gone out given that we are both in a relegation fight...........day out at Wembley is all that will come of that win - not a cat in hells chance of beating the Arsenal!
