fitting starter bush

Hi
Just removed terminal starter and picking up an exchange unit on Friday. I've read the Wiki and got the oilite bush but am wondering how realistic it is to change this on the roadside, as far as I can see I'll have to work blind from the engine bay.
Thanks
Nick

jack it up, pop it on axle stands and work from underneath

Thanks Aidan
I'll give it a go then. I was wary of getting the old one out and not having access to drift the new one in from the engine bay, hadn't really considered access from below, probably cos I don't like axle stands and it seemed a bit cramped down there!

Changed the starter bush on mine just over a week ago (on the roadside). You will still be doing it 'blind' to a certain extent even from underneath - but be patient as its a little tricky. Also - when you take off the starter, stuff a rag into the opening into the bellhousing to stop anything falling into it ! (I dropped one new bush into it). When fitting the new bush - it only needs gentle taps with a small hammer (i used a bolt as described in the wiki) - again a little patience required.
Overall - I was a little uncertain about trying this lying under the van - but on reflection its not that difficult, just take your time.
