bleed nipples

i have just replaced the master cylinder and brake pipes all went great until i went to bleed it and the bleed nipples are rounded off and wont move. is there anything i can try to get them out

Give them a soak using a penetrating fluid such as Plus Gas and then carefully undo them using a pair of vicegrips. You will of course then require new ones, available from GSF or the like.

thank you Ian .i have sprayed them tonight and will give them a few more goes tomorrow . i was just a bit worried about doing more damage trying to get them out. jen

Be carefull, if they shear off it's opening a can of worms with a trip to the garage.

If they shear off there is a chance that you can put a slot in it with an ultra thin cutting disk and use an impact driver to get them out - I have got a couple out this way. There is enough metal available in the casting usually to do this (carefully).

Its all done thanks for your advice, had to take the callipers off and get a mate to heat the nipples up i had been spraying them for three days but still wouldnt move any way tax in the morning and back on the road . jen
