Stalling / Idling (fuel injection)

I have a problem with my van, it won’t idle and is stalling at junctions or when slowing down,
Van is Petrol / LPG 2.0 fuel injection Vanagon.
When starting from cold it won’t idle at all unless I keep my foot slightly down on the accelerator.
When warm will idle most of the time when on gas, but won’t on petrol.
Had a search but most similar problems are on carburettor – has anyone any ideas where to start looking?

2.0 is Aircooled
do you mean 2.1 wbx ?
how long since it was serviced on gas, how much do you run on petrol ?
when was it converted, when was it serviced last ?
could be any of a whole host of things, fuel side or ignition side or engine management, you need to have the appropriate manual and be systematic when checking and diagnosing or take it to someone who knows these engines/lpg installations and has the necessary test gear

no tis definitely Aircooled, american model so carb replaced by fuel injection
had it converted at gasure last summer and serviced October, tend to run mainly on gas and use it daily, occasionly run on petrol when running low on gas.
Just wondered if there is anything obvious i should check before taking it to a garage, i'm not the most mechanically minded so it would need to be simple
Only recent thing i've had done was have it washed (maybe the dirt was keeping it running!) wondered if a jet wash might of knocked something off, prior to that was working fine. Have Haynes manual so will have a look at that.
Cheers
