Think mine is a converted panel van as there's no shoulder loop mounting in the rear pillar. Have seen the 72p plates on sale at Brickwerks but are these just welded onto the pillar where needed or do I have to cut the pillar to mount them flush to the original metal?

Sorry if this makes me sound thick but quite a newbie & looking to do things right

Those yard ones will suffice, lots of folk weld them on top of the metal but if I was doing it I would cut a hole for the belt bolt (q max cutter ) and a say 4 x 3/8" holes around then hold plate in position behind this ( fiddly on an a/c ) and secure in place with anchor bolt and washers )then puddle weld the 4 holes in, very neat and less messy than the other way, remove bolt and when cool paint over and fit belt..

No they need to go behind the whidow, about 1/3 of the way up if I remember correctly. If you take the rear black plastic air intake on the outside off and look inside the hole you should see a dimple in the metal, that's where you'll need to drill the hole.

So I've found the holes for the bottom bracket (& how to post the pic properly)



Now wondering whereabouts I fix the mounting plates on the floor? Is there a dimple for this as there is with the shoulder loop? As they're going to be under the bed & out of sight, do people just weld them to the floor or do you do the same as for the shoulder loop and cut a hole & puddle weld them underneath?

there is a bracket that fixes to the pre drilled holes along the bottom of the panel:

not sure if you can buy them separately though

He doesn't mean fitting the bracket to the pre-drilled holes for the retractor I think he means the 3rd mount that goes on the engine base.

I think in a panel van you have to make your own mounting point for the 3rd mounting. I already had one because lap belts had been fitted. You can fit one in the same way as the mouning point behind the rear engine air vent because you can access the back of the engine base behind the rear wheels. There's just some noise reducing foam to move out of the way

E D I T: I have found a picture showing roughly where the mounting points are in my panel van when it had lapbelts, but you can see where you could fit the last mounting point for the 3 point belts
