Did my high top last weekend. Used a ladder so didn't need to stand on it, used cillit bang with a green scourer to remove algae & dirt, rinsed with water, then used a car wax & old t shirt to polish came up good as new.
You could try anti mould spray the stuff you use in bathrooms on the sides, but a good scour will probably do.

Someone on here once recommended Bar Keepers Friend which I've used and works great, gets rid of all that stuck on gunk and mould with ease. Some here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BARKEEPERS-FRIEND ... 3eff4bba3c

Hi there,
I'm just restoring a Westfalia Vanagon T25 and the roof inside and out was pretty poo.
External fibre glass I cleaned with G3 compound and a buffing machine, after a good jet wash.
Interior fibre was mildewed to hell.....so I used Dettol bathroom mildew remover.....seemed to be mild enough to not ruin the cream colour, but has completely cleaned away all signs of mildew.
Canvas.....on the other hand was a right off....had splits in it and covered in mildew (was original 1985) so I bought a new one....3 windows on my wagon...lol
Cheers
