Hi Guys
I have had some twin dells fitted to my type CU Aircooled engine but it is a very tight fit getting the engine cover on.
I have been told that by using longer bolts and some large washers that I can lower the engine by about an inch. Has anyone tried this.
regards
Matt

if its tight it may just be the rhd side (as you look at it) carb top. i cut he strengthening bar out of the engine lid on one side to get the lid on easily
which inlets did you fit?
short ones or normal length?

yeah steve from gasure already did this to make it fit but was told fitting longer bolts and some spacers would give me some extra room.

i used some spacers and longer bolts on both sides of my engine suppoert bar so my performance exhaust gave more clearance on rear panel as it used to knock on panel when starting up maybe you could do the same

Thanks guys
I have lowered mine a bit but still think the exhaust is going to be pretty close to the rear panel when I fit it.
Will just have to see how I get on when I fit it
