Replacing Clutch Slave Cylinder

Hi again

I was going through some old photographs and came across this one which may help when replacing the slave cylinder

If you've ever done one you'll probably found the same as me, getting the bolts back in and the nuts started on the threads is a real pain, especially with sausage fingers!

I used a couple of wire cable ties to hold the bolts in place, popped the cylinder onto them and got the nuts back on a couple of turns then pulled the ties back off the bolts before fully tightening - seemples!

The union has siezed onto the pipe so I took the cylinder off with it attached, used a small engineers vice to hold the union under the van, then unscrewed the cylinder from the union rather than risk trashing the pipe as replacing it seems to be a pain

Much bruising of ribs from supporting my not unsubstantial wieght on them on the engine bay surround and a little hacking of hands later, job done and bus back on the road

Hope this helps someone in the future and appologies for scenes of nudity and gore
