Christmas in our bus Basil

Hi all
Mrs B and I headed off Christmas eve towards Norfolk, as planned, but as she had to work that day we only went as far as Orchard Park near Boston because we know this site which has great facilities, room for the awning, and a pub within walking distance
The ground was frozen solid so we used a minimal amount of pegs and hoped the wind didn't get up too much (early sprout pun!) and we left the ground sheet in the back of the bus as we weren't planning to sit outside much either!
The three bird roast, courtesy of Aldi, did really well on the Cadac in about an hour and a half (we had a meat thermometer to avoid potential upset tummies which wouldn't be a good thing with another week to go in the bus!) and we did the other veggies and pigs in blankets in foil parcels after a walk to the pub for our traditional Christmas day drink!
No expense spared on the table settings and we were really pleased with how our first Christmas dinner in Basil turned out so maybe next time we'll go a little further afield
We spent the week going around the coast down as far as Lowestoft and cut back across to Lincolnshire where we celebrated New Year at a camp site in Ancaster only returning home on 2nd Jan as I had an interview to prepare for on the 4th otherwise we would have stayed out for the rest of that week too!
