Yea yea I know people have views/opinions of weber carbs...
Has/does anyone have a JK single weber kit for CU fitted? have they rated them as any good? just looking at options!
(also looking at the manifold as a different option if it can be sourced that without the carb)

the manifold is half the problem, the inlet tract lengths are enormous. volumetric efficiency is severly compromised, carb icing is a real issue. its just a gash kit for the ill informed / easy option types

True but most people need to change because the stock ones are worn out. Pound for pound dells are the best solution

Whats the difference like to stock ones if you don't mind me asking??
I am considering giving the old girl a bit of a kick up the arris!! And i'm thinking a set of twin 40's is a good first step.

my difference was with a set of rebuilt solex 37 bhp at the wheels
with jetted dells and tweaked timing 57 bhp.
all dyno proven
massive difference, more power , more mpg and a fantastic induction note

Definitely gave my bus a kick from the rear and me a smile on my face... oh and a hole in my wallet. But well worth it.

I'd second the opinions above about Dells.
Put a set on mine recently and it has made such a difference I won't be going back. My only problem is I don't think the MPG will be any better as the induction noise is just so addictive.

I'm so glad someone actually noted the fact of how much they cost people like to bang on about mods (not just here but also places like VZI/Brickyard etc etc) but fail realise that money needs to be parted with!

Well i think my mind is made up then, as soon as i get some cash, im going for the dells. I used to have a 1835cc bug with twin 45 dells on and it went like a cat with mustard on its a***!!
