Can I use this oil pressure switch?

Hi,

I have have an oil pressure switch from GSF which has a blue coloured end and single spade terminal for a wire. Can I use it to replace the brown coloured one (poss original) for my 1988 1.9DG auto? They have the following numbers on them:

GSF new: 028 919 081D 0.3+-0.15bar
Old: 10 87 056 919 081 C 0.15-0.45bar

Similar part numbers but not exact. I wanted to check as GSF said that a new blue could replace blue or brown coloured one, but if I had a grey one fitted it needed to be replaced with a grey due to the diiferent bar settings. I couldn't buy both as they only had a blue one in stock.

Thanks for your help.

Is this the low pressure switch between 3 & 4?

Do you mean cylinders 3 & 4? If so I'm not sure which ones they are.

If you are looking at the van from the rear then the sensor is on the passenger side and I had to remove a pushrod cover to get at the sensor.

OK
that's the correct sender. Blue is for the low pressure. (oil light)
