heater gauge

my temperature gauge does'nt work ive put in a new sender and still no luck could it be the back ot my clocks are no good

It could be the pcb behind the clocks or quite a few other things, to be honest.

1st thing is to make sure that the coolant is properly bled through and you have NO air in the system. Where did the sender come from and are you sure it's the right one? It could be faulty.... Does the red light blink on ignition and then go out (it should) ? You can test the gauge & wiring by earthing the sender wire to the engine block; it should move over to the right.

There's mases of info on here regarding temp gauges so it's time for a big mug of a coffee and a search through the previous posts to get some more ideas I'm afraid.

many thanks yeah the red light goes on and off oh well time to search
