Things to check when in the air

I've got a couple hours use of a friend of a friends lift on saturday. First time I've had to have a proper look at the underside and am wondering what I should be looking out for. Will be going around prodding her with a screwdriver to see what welding needs doing. She's got an underslung water tank which I haven't filled up yet so might fill it up and check that for any leaks etc. Anything else I can check while she's in the air? And where can I find the engine code to identify what engine she has, apparently she had a new one fitted about 6 years ago.
As always any advice gratefully appreciated

Brake hoses, fuel lines, coolant pipes.

Engine code is stamped next to the base of the oil breather tower thingy.
