bolt for exhaust WTD

does anyone know where I can get a bolt (not stud) for my exhaust to attatch manifold to head. I appear to have lost one. or what length /size do I need?

A standard M8 x 25 should do the trick.. if the thread hasnt stripped out!!

hope not! where would I get such a thing? Hal£ords or B&Q? wouldn't it make sense to get stainless bolts?

In Halfords you will probably have to buy a variety pack... B&Q may have them, or your local hardware store.

boxes of said bolts here mate. S/s is more brittle than H/T so perhaps not best for exhausts.

ANother thing is that stainless and aloy, dont really like each other.. you get an electrolytic corrossion forming between the surfaces, this can rot the threads too..
Plenty of copperslip is order of the day..
