Hi there

I have heard that regarding the gearshift linkage, that the gear selector lever has one for diesel and one for petrol. I bought my gear selector lever along time ago and was wondering how you could tell whether it is built for a diesel or a petrol t25.

How are they different?

petrol and na diesel are the same only the TD is different
TD has metal hanger plate on bottom which the square box is attached to and the hanger plate attaches to the body, whereas the others the square box fits straight to the body
TD ones are a different part number to the others, I don't know why, it could just be because they have the captive nuts in for the hanger plate, I can't see there being any other reason, but it may be they don't have the top flange that fits to the body on the others
Julian will know as he will had them all in his hand side by side to compare differences

then you get td's and n/a's fitted in a/c's and the whole scenario is down the pan
