Need advice on T25 roof

Hi all
I have recently bought a T25 pop top, however I think we may have a very old conversion.
the pop top roof was originally added for headroom, and I do not think they did enough work for a bed to be placed in there. I am also not sure it is big enough for a bed as it seems to not cover enough of the roof, and is a very different design to what most of the companies are now installing.

I am also worried that there is not enough room between the interior roof and the outer roof when closed for a bed to be fitted and think that the metal interior roof will have to be removed and a wooden bed base fitted instead.

Notice the lack of space between internal and external roofs?
if I have to replace I would consider going for a high top instead across the whole vehicle,
Does anyone know of a company that is not a million miles away fro Oakham (Central/East Midlands) that does either pop tops or High tops, all ther ones I find are Poole, or Okehampton etc
many thanks

Thanks I will look them up.
I think the roof is an early headroom pop top roof, several aspects of our "Green Dragon" seem to be very old homemade conversions.like the 2" square steel seatbelt posts, and the cabinets are nothing like the modern interiors around and more like something someone made in a garage. so where they found the roof is anyones guess.

Cheers
I sent images out to some of the pop top companies for their advice and I got a reply from O'Connors Campers :
"Hi Graham, it looks like somebody has modified a T2 roof and just bolted it onto your van. The problem you have is that you cannot fit a bed frame into the roof as the roof closes directly onto the van roof. Also because the rear of the roof does not lift at all you have no space at the rear of the roof.
To supply and fit our roof to your van is £2600 plus the vat"
Ouch!
And Campershop:
"i think you will have to go the getting another roof if you want to sleep in it"
Damn!
Still waiting a reply from timbertechnicians.
Fingers Crossed they can do the work easily and for under a grand!

Your roof looks very similar to mine.......however I do not know what type mine is either!!
My pop top is purely for extra headroom and is only over the standing area that is from behind the front seats and the rock and roll bed. After having a close look at yours in your photos I think we have the same roof construction, are the "canvas" sides made out of a sort of vinyl coated stuff? and does the roof have straps that you pull down on to lower it with spring loaded struts that raise it?
Sorry I cannot be of any help but I would be interested in any further information you may get as regards to a manufacturers name.
