Hi,has anyone fitted 3 point rear seatbelts into a camper conversion? I've read all the posts i can find and i'm going for the brickwerks kit on the nearside,but how do you get around the fact that there is a wardrobe in the way for the other side?I was thinking maybe i could weld a piece in front of the wardrobe to fix the belt to,but wondered if anybody else has done the same?

I think it best you remove the wardrobe and use the proper anchor point

Fitted rear belts to both sides using factory mounting points on an Autohomes conversion. Got around the wardrobe side by cutting a slot in the side of the wardrobe for the belt to pass through. Cut on oval slot just above the seat top and trimmed with the plastic T edging trim. Works well and has passed MOT, felt it better to do this than loose the wardrobe/original look of interior.

i`ve seen pics of a go westy seat belt set up that went through the wardrobe. good idea untill you try to fill the wardrobe with clothes for that long haul. kids are starting to out grow the harnesses i`ve fitted so need to sort something for mine in the next year or so.

Clothes in the wardrobe? Now there's a novelty. We go camping, all our clothes are in bags thrown upfront, and besides I have a refillable gaslow bottle in the rear wardrobe plus toolbox & oil.

Personally I preferred to use the wardrobe for cheap gas, have my kids harnessed in three pointers and look like a crumpled sack but hey each to their own.
