So the other week I went through Tarr Steps (1-2 ft stream crossing) on Exmoor and my cab foot steps started filling up with water, and at a pretty quick rate. Checked my seals and saw that I had no seal on the very lower part of the door. Simple, I thought, get some new seals. Just looking on JK now and it looks like the seal only runs down the side and not the bottom of the door.. see here http://www.justkampers.com/shop/cab-doo ... 10691.html Is this right then? What do i do about water coming in? I'm not going to be going too full on into deep water as I have a propex vent to also consider, and an exhaust for that matter, but think I need something to stop the glug glug glug......

Cheers

I have found the deepest part of Tarr Steps is the drop off on the far side where the concrete plinth ends, the river washes away the gravel and is steep enough to bang on the tow bar when dropping off. I now go diagonally off the concrete, and just go through quite steady in G so as not to get too big a bow wave on the front. The cab door seals are not water tight by any means and will only delay the inevitable.
