I dont think you save any dosh buying them miles in advance you know, especially returns. When I went to Germany this year I got a much better price doing two singles about two weeks before, it was about a third off...

Yeh, for sure. If its your big holiday for the year you dont mind shelling out.
I saved quite abit on the Germany trip compared to others doing the same, but Mark, Flibber's and the Robster saved considerably more than me booking ages in advance when we did our summer trip.
Swings and round abouts I guess. If your doing last minute it is worth looking at two single trips rather than a return s it is quite often cheaper.

The Bus is registered as dual-fuel so we can't use it anyway.

I did two 'quotes' that came back at £150 and £170 quid , which compared to the £60 return this year is quite a difference

Yeah, we use it quite often. It's a great way of crossing the channel, so much quicker than the ferry. it's nice in a camper, too, because you don't have to get out. You can just have a little chill out in the back for twenty minutes, and you're there!
