The buzzer of doom is a tricky one.
NEVER ignore it.
I dont know of any recalls, and the dash overheating sounds a bit far fetched.
If the VEGE man says all is well I'd start looking at wireing faults
Check the wires to the oil pressure sensors. They can earth out on hot engine parts.
Have a look behind the dash pannel. Water can seep in causing intermittant problems. The connector to the PCB corrodes and needs cleaning.
Can you persuade them to fit a remote reading oil pressure guage?
Even if you pay 1/2 or all the parts cost it would give you peace of mind.
