Oil Temperature

What sort of maximum oil temperature should I be aiming for?
My recently installed Golf AGG petrol engine runs at around 110 degrees during a long run at 65-70mph. Even in the cooler air temperatures we have been seeing lately. The water temperature is right in the middle of guage at what I would call 'normal'.
Is that OK or would folk recommend fitting an oil cooler to bring it down a bit?
