i might have chance of one. he paid £50.00 for it. said he has to take it out, and check its working. what dya reckon i should offer for it ?

Try him on a tenner you can always go up.
In working order it's easily worth 50.

Make sure that it's a hot air system and not an engine preheater (unless that is what you want).
