Steel Wheels and ET

Hi
Just been surfing on ebay, found someone selling 16" Vw steel wheels off a T5 not T4. They state ET as 51. Does this mean they would be ideal for a syncro? Got a set off a T4 15" and they need 25mm spacers.

Or could use adapters and that would correct the ET too.. seems like a bit of hassle when you can get Mefro's that bolt right on....

Pitch Circle Diameter or simply the spacing of the wheel bolts/holes.
On a T3 it is 5 x 112, that is five bolts/holes evenly spaced in circle 112 mm in diameter.

What pcd are T5s then? cause mine bolted straight on! currently got 215/65/16 on 2 of them and 205/80/16 on the other pair (dont worry they will be getting a set of new 205/80/16 mud tyres before the trucks back out

are you sure they are t5 wheels. any chance you could measure the pcd to check what exactly you have.

T5 rims part number starting 7H0 are 5/120
T4 rims part number starting 7D0 are 5/112

Yeah and if you find t4 wheels remember you'll prob need to buy longer studs when you fit spacers. 'Mefro's are so cheap I'd just get a set of those and save any messing around. I once had a list I downloaded from the net with wheel specs for almost any model car from the 70's and up. It listed the pcd and offsets so you could easily find an ideal wheel for the syncro. Don't suppose anyone has this document on their computer or link?
