cheers dave.i think a visit to specsavers is in order.i missed them fault codes when i first looked..
found this manual online.easier to read than ours...

Not a great deal of help though.
Check the fuel supply.
Check the fuel flow.
Check the exhaust and intake.
Check the overheat sensor (i think)....
Shame it couldnt be more specific.
I changed my overheat sensor for a resistor (4K7 ohm i think but see the manual) and this fixed all my problems (the sensor was knackered). Gave me the confidence to shell out the £50 to replace the sensor anyhow....

rob, i`ve bought a few ebber bits off sarkblue on ebay. he`s reliable and cheap.

It was CP Parkinson in Nottingham - but they arent a dealer nowadays. Check out the eber website for your local dealer....

Just to add - that's for an Airtronic but email Stuart there and he will be able to fix you up - I recommend him as he doesn't charge the horrendous mark-up that most Eberspacher dealers put on - I've seen some with 100% mark-up on some items.

i will make sure that fuel is getting to the unit first.hopefully thats the problem.it was working fine a couple of days ago...

The D1Lc uses a Klixon type of overheat sensor which can be obtained for a lot less than what Eberspacher charge.
You could use
this (£4.85 for 10!) or this
this (£4.85 for 10) - a little cheaper than £50
Both are 115 degrees/normally closed contacts, which is what the limit should be.
