Just got my van back from the MOT.........failed on nearside King Pin, lower suspension Ball Joint.
How easy a job is it to replace and what pit falls might i come accross?
Many thanks

what year bus, only splits and the new bays have king pins
everything else has balljoints
king pins are a pain to change
ball joints are easier depending on the age of your bus
bays the ball joints need a BIG press and some heat, t3 balljoints bolt in

the van is an 83............I asked the MOT station is it was a ball joint and they said it was a kingpin!!!!!!!
Might be why why they quoted an incredible amount of money to replace!!!!!
OH the joys of motoring

Probably 'wishbone bushes' i would have thought, and the top ones need to be marked up prior to changing them as this effects the camber.
