Hi All,

Just a very quick question.....

I have just been out and started my T25 to get her juices flowing while its cold. The battery really struggled to fire her up until the battery pretty much died on me.

I work for BMW and have managed to get my hands on a new BMW battery.

Will it damage my bus if I was to fit the battery which is an 80ah battery compared to my 36ah german one?

Would the alternator be able to cope and keep it topped up????

it does not matter what size /amp hour battery you fit...as long as it's secured safely.

Big cold cranking amps is what you are after

096? is that a universal battery type?

My new one is almost twice then length of my current one and it looks like it will fit into the holder a treat!

The code number is a European size code
these batteries fit in the battery box (petrol)

You can get bigger than an 096 in there - go for it and send me a new one as well. (ignore those that put their batteries under their backsides)

I only mentioned the 096 as it is a good battery for cca's, cheap and readily available at acc shops
