Leads and coil

I'm about to change my HT leads and distributor cap and have been offered a pin set (diz cap and leads) for free but I've got a 1.9 watercooled on an A plate (83/84?) and the current leads and distributor are a socket connection. Can I just buy a new pin connector coil or should I buy new socket connection leads and diz cap and stop being a tightus? What's the difference?

apart from the visual difference there`s probally not much between them.
you could cross referance coil resistance if you really wanted to.
saying that its difficult enough these days to get good quality parts that are right for the van so i would buy the correct listed part and dont skrimp on quality.
old saying buy cheap, buy twice has never been so valid as in todays market.

I did this...
I changed from socket to pin.
I bought the new coil too as they are not that expensive
It solved a misfire I had when warm, as the coil socket was full of debris from all the years of arcing
