Hi

I have bought a 1983 air cooled t25 and was wondering what amp leisure battery would be best suited to this van for normal camping use?

Thanks.

Depends where you are going to put it. If you want one that will fit in the battery box behind your passenger seat you will be limited by trying to find one that will fit in the box. Other folk have their leisure battery in different locations (e.g. in a cupboard, under the r&r bed or in the engine compartment) which will have their own implications in relation to the physical size of the battery.

Loads of info here:
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Ca ... s_that_fit

Scroll down that page to the link for Alpha Batteries if you're looking for one that will fit in the battery box.

Posts like this belong in the technical forum btw.

I never bothered with a "leisure batt. I used a Bose car starter battery and it never failed. I could jump start the van off it, if needed. Makes more sense to me.

if you ask in the tech (campers) section you can use the seach loads of info there and on the wiki at the top of the page

I agree with funbus...code 096 is the biggest that will fit in the box
