enigne start up

Hi all..... i'm having a issue with my T25 engine.

After i leave the van standing for a while ( say 2 days or so) the engine sounds really rough for the first 60 secounds after starting it up.
I was wondering if this is normal for the T25? I think it might be to do with the oil circulation around the top end. After the first few minutes it sounds fine!
Has anybody else had the same problem?

I would be grateful of any help!!!

Cheers

John

Oh no... does it sound all clattery and with loud tack tack noise?

the end is nigh.. sell it me and forget about it.

Normal unless it needs a service (oil and filter) use mineral 15/40 or for complete deafness try morris 20/50
read up on Hydraulic tappets or Hydraulic lifters

Quite normal if left for a day or two. The hydraulic tappets loose some of their oil pressure and the tappet gap increases slightly. After the engine has run for a while, usually taken for a few miles drive, all wil be quiet again!
Some do it, some don't... Luck of the draw really but nothing to worry about I would have thought.
