i came across this recently and am thinking of putting one up top
i will have a chat with the fella and see if he will give us a club discount, what do you all think?
i kinda like it,s lower profile and will offer fluff and me loads more storage when tavelling and winter warmth.
i will post in camping about how to insulate a hitop.

That's never been a hightop Neither use nor ornament, no noticeable extra storage and no room for a bed ... so the worst of both worlds.

Dave and Margaret Timbertechs http://www.timbertechnicians.co.uk/13301.html are the only brand new roof worth fitting in my honest (if slightly biased) opinion PLUS they are long standing members here who support this club.

yeah yeah i know just don,t think i can do the hi hi hitop on charlotte i saw your van at crabfest last year and took a long look at at, when i eventualy got to the top i fell over backwards i did meet the timbertechs this year and had a chat with them, they are a great couple just do not need their top on top of my top if you get my drift

Uncannily - while I was out fiddling with my van on Sunday, Paul the owner of http://www.vwcamperroof.com walked passed (he was visiting relatives) and we started talking - as you do.

The history of these roofs is something like: the original maker produced something like 300 to be exported abroad from England. However it didn't work out. Paul was looking for a roof for his van, and the chap said come and look at the ones I have in my field. He bought the last 3 of these and now has started putting them into production himself.

They look pretty smart to me (for a hightop!) and Paul seems a really decent fella.

i am sure we are going to fit one to our camper.
ian, i love the timbertech ones, yours and james look great and i think those guys are brill but this is the one for me. thanks for your comments guys.

I think it looks cool. Extra storage is well handy and of course, being able to stand up is great.

I think it looks super. If you've no need for beds "upstairs" then the extra headroom is great. Are they reasonably priced?

bit pricey compared to the timbertechs. i will go and have a look in a few weeks time, see what the quality is like, he has a couple of old stock he wants to get rid of so i will see what they are like.

It'll be fine for a shortarse like you.

As high tops go (you'd never catch me with one ) that looks pretty good.

I'd have said an LT was about as 'high top' as you could get.....

i prefer vertically challenged

Looks quite good but at the price I reckon £400 is to recoup the initial costs the rest would be fair materials and mark up but each to their own .
