Right I'm in the very last stages of rebuilding my 1.9 DG engine only I have now hit another stumbling block.

I need to mount my carb to the inlet manifold but I'm missing the 'adaptor', insulating block or whatever its called! :?

Anyone tell me what this is and if possible where to get one? I cant for the life of me find anything on it

Many thanks in advance :ok

Ant

It's definately a pierburg carb. Obviously the gasket block is missing then! Is the block about 6mm ish thick?

Hi
I got one about 6mm thick from Brickworks couple of months ago - they call it a gasket from memory.
Think the carburettor should have this as its a heat insulator from the intake manifold.

I have a surplus one from a Synchro pickup but its about 50mm thick and cant be used under Transporter engine hatch as it lifts the carb too high. Its available if anyone has a use, including the three long studs.
