Quick question guys, i'm looking at getting a heater for the van, would like an eberspacher. Is this the best type to go for:

Eberspacher D2 Airtronic Diesel Heater 12V

also, are some easier to repair than others
ie is it better for me to pay out for a newer one, or get an older one so if it breaks theres a chance in a diy fix!

Webasto airtop 2000. Usually cheaper to buy 2nd hand, spares available from helpful dealers (unlike most reports from people with dealings with the Eberspacher ones)
People seem to like the d2 though.
Both are simple construction except for the electronics. Depends upon your diy skills.

I have just fitted one to my van and it is awesome I got mine through being sneaky. Go online and find out where the nearest place is that sells ex BT vans, they were all fitted with them and the dealer will usually take them out and sell them for cash as they arnt selling many vans at the moment due to the economy If it doent work at least you can take it back and swap it (unlike ebay) but most of them have had very little use.
