AEF 1.9 any good

Normally aspirated 1.9 AEF out of a Polo, just wondered as I have been offered one with a geniune 60,000 miles on the clock, is this a worthwhile engine option. Engine is a minter.
The car itself is decent enough but got broken in to last weekend so now has a screwdriver hole above the drivers door handle.

Had one in my old van, it has a Lucas pump, which apparently is not as good as a Bosch pump but I did 30000 miles in mine with no problems.
You have to re-drill the dipstick hole on the other side of the engine other than that I think fitting is pretty much the same as a 1Y
There is a fitting guide on Brickyard
