It's so easy! Up until 5 months ago when I got the van, I'd never done ANYTHING mechanical so have been doing little bits and pieces since then. Did this last week and it was dead easy. Even had to slightly adjust the end so it fitted the throttle connection on the carb. An hours job max. And it made such a difference - the old one was clogged up with dirt and so wouldn't go back to idle properly, but now, well, happy days.

Search the wiki for instructions, and believe!

Good luck.

:ok

Got mine to do as some days it's fine, others it just revs and won't go back to idle.

I think the process is:

-Undo from carb/injection at the rear as well as any bracket.

-Under the rear floor (in front of the back wheel, inboard) it is bolted (10mm?) to the chassis.

-At the front remove the clamp from under the pedal box (fiddly).

-Pull out from the back carefully being careful it doesn't sang inside the 2 plastic sheaths under the floor.

-Replace in the opposite order?

It's been a while since I did one but its a pain in the butt job rather than a hard one :)
