im thinkin about gettin one but not sure which one to go for what are peoples thoughts and can you leave them out overnight or is it best to wind them in thanx in advance

fitted a fiamma F45 a few months ago,have left it up overnight with no problems but had guide ropes tied to it just in case!

I wind it in at night - but it only takes a minute to put away. If you are getting one, get it from worldofcamping.co.uk - lowest price I found on the web plus 80-90 members get extra 10% discount

I went for an F45 - but I've got a 3.5m cuz I've got a tranny

2.5metre looks best but 3.00 metre gives a little extra cover over the sliding door.

We have a strap over the awning when windy and under extreme conditions it gets wound in.
they do have a tendancy to collect water, sometimes so much it bellows underneath, when you expect rain just set one front leg lower than the other so the rain runs off.
Possibly the best accessory we have bought for our van, so easy and quick for those overnight stop overs.

Agree 45 is the one, I do leave it partly out so the rain dont comr into the open slider, if fully out then a sometimes peg a rope down on it,
Am thinking of making a pair of brackets to fit to the body so the feet on the bottom of tge poles can sit in them , wont need ropes or antything bthen

Trutfully I haven't used it whilst away yet -:oops: only been away for the one weekend so far. However, it has been very useful whilst building the interior!

I do sometimes if it looks like the wind may pick up or it may lash it down........but that's more because I forget to slope it to let the rain run off

Anyone got the awning rafter for keeping the material taut and help stop water pooling?

Have to agree, the F45 is great. But for extra security when its windy invest in a strap.

I have seen yellow and black straps. One seems to fit to the front the other seems to go around the folding arms.
Which is the one to get?

Fiamma F35 Pro for me with the tie down accessory. It stays up (oooeerr) all night unless very windy! What type of roof have you got? If you have a pop top its a little more difficult attaching something like the Fiamma Caravanstore awning.

Red Westie - you can get a rafter bar to put a pitch in the awning so the rain runs off (about £15 from memory) but I do the same as you and put the legs at different heights.

I think they are both the same Cruz - just different colours.
