reversing light

Back up light not working, checked fuse and bulbs OK. In failing daylight could not locate switch on gearbox. Is it on the gearbox or on the linkage somewhere. No doubt will find it, but a pointer of where to look would be useful. Doesn't seem to show it in bentley either! cheers

Its on the gearbox opposite side the the linkage attachment, from memory.

Here is my reverse light switch just below the fuel pump as put on upside down by A1 Transmissions!

how the f did they do that ? no don't believe it, CJ probably swapped it about for a laugh

Seems like the switch is kaput. Is it a simple unscrew and replace? No springs or bits to drop out hopefully?
