Didnt think the euro's had managed to push through the seek and destroy thing on speeding... I thought it was still the "catch you at and fine you"...

Oh no

We went through at least 3 of those cameras. That German guy said it could take up to 6 months to catch up with you. I dread going home now to find this on our door mat.

Dont believe they can endorse and cant understand how you would get a 500 euro fine for one event; you must have had the afterburners on !

One question.
Did the letter come as recorded post ie was it signed for?
If not I would ignore it and wait and see if they peruse it further.

If the UK have a reciprocal agreement with the Germans then you will get points on your licence, as we do with the frogs.
So may be worth getting it checked out. And pay up or the will get a warrent for your arrest.

I have a nasty feeling that a euro co-operation thing is coming into force that obliges our system to help euro countries and visa versa, as usual we are not reaping our foreign drivers yet and the Germans have the jump on us. I have not heard of any mutual prosecutions but will now look into it. In Britain you have to receive a 'notice of intended prosecution' within 2 weeks of the offence coming to light, this system of months down the line does not give you a chance at the time of the offence to prepare a defence. Can you remember 6 months ago who the driver was at a particular time, bet it's a little foggy.

What the blithering heck did you do to get a 500 Euro fine and three points?
German fines usually only reach those dizzy heights at speeds a T3 definitely isn't capable of ...unless of course you drove through a town / village at full speed
Is the letter in German or English? If you need translation help, lemme know
