Hi. I have just fitted new hoses to my 1600 diesel, took it out for a 40 min test drive on the m way, no problems. Set off a week later to the lakes, did about 30 miles and my top hose burst. I noticed that the hose had moved up on the flange to the head as if to pop off then split where the clip was. I managed to temp fix it but once everything is hot i notice the top hose is tight with pressure. My top up bottle behind the number plate dont seem to be filling up or emptying so was wondering if it is my Dalek cap. If the cap is working propperly should i be able to suck thru it and not blow??. I was also thinking if the head is going but it is not over heating+ i had the engine rebuilt skimmed etc last year. Could their be air in still, or is the hose a duff as i bought it second hand.
Cheers Steve
