No, I couldn't hear, that engine roar drowned everything out, thank goodness... think most people would be too gobsmacked and speechless.
Perhaps a respectful (British) round of applause upon return to mother earth

At least the driver would be able to see the crowd's appreciation easier than having to look for a mouth open wide enough to see their tonsils
He certainly knew exactly when to give it a healthy bootful for a safe return back down the hill Russel, probably been in that situation before - countless times?

Oh my god!!! What a nutter! Fair play to them for not rolling all the way back down it too. Something tells me a 1.6 turbodiesel syncro couldnt do that!
