Stained Hi-Top

Just washed my T25 Hi-Top for the first time (only had it a month!!) and found the black stuff on the top is discolouration rather than muck. Any tips on how to get the top back to white? Is it as simply a case of painting? Is it worth converting to a pop-top? the original conversion is Autohomes and it's as was.

HG do a good range included upvc cleaner, works a treat on crappy plastic garden chairs, so if it hasnt been painted may be worth a try

Cheers Dan. I'll give that a go. Just a case of elbow grease, I guess.

Any mild abrasive like Cillit bang, Barkeepers friend, Jif, Astonish, T Cut... etc
will bring it back.... you can use a polishing mop for an electric drill to help.

use a good Silicon wax after it's clean or it will get dirty twice as quick next time

Works well on boat hulls and fibreglass hitops.

Yep, its generally the bleach element that does it. I use a bleachy solution (mild) for killing off moss on sliding windows, trim etc.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I'll be clambering onto the top armed with some flash with bleach tomorrow.
